Wi-Fi and Residential Ethernet
Siena Heights University offers 2 wireless networks for fac/staff and students. Members of the Siena Heights community can connect to the SHU_Saints network using their SHU username and password. BYOD devices (gaming consoles, smart TVs, etc.) and guests can connect to the SHU_IoT network without the need for a password.
Ledwidge/Archangelus Halls and Campus Village have ethernet connections available to provide more stable connections for desktop computers and gaming consoles. Ethernet services are not currently available in St. Catherine Hall, but will be coming soon.
Email Account
Members of the SHU community have access to email via Microsoft 365 free of cost. Student email accounts remain active for 24 months after the last enrolled date.
VPN for Staff Use
The Department of Information Technology has provided VPN services for members of faculty and staff. The VPN allows SHU staff members to access network resources while working on the go.
Access to Microsoft 365 Apps
Members of the SHU community get access to the Office suite of apps as well as Microsoft Teams, Outlook and OneDrive (5 TB) free of cost. Each account can download and install Office apps onto 5 devices as part of their license.
