Maggi Van Dorn is an audio producer with a wide range of experience reporting at the intersection of religion and culture. She graduated from Santa Clara University with a Religious Studies major and went on to earn her Master’s of Divinity at Harvard. Maggi has produced several original podcasts including Interfaith Matters (Interfaith Center of NY) which chronicles the social justice initiatives of NYC’s faith leaders and Spilling Royal Tea (SiriusXM/TMZ) which followed the engagement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Starting in 2018, Maggi collaborated with America Media to produce and host Deliver Us, a deep-dive into the Catholic sexual abuse crisis. She has since produced Vital Signs (SXM/NYU Langone), The Universal Title: Muhammad Ali’s Spiritual Journey (America Abroad Media), Church Meets World (America Magazine), and Hark: The stories behind our favorite Christmas carols (America Magazine). She lives with her dog in Asheville, North Carolina, among the trees.
Maggi has been a long-time lover of both religion and radio. She credits her time in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps for instilling her with a deep sense of both justice and mercy. For three years, she taught high school theology in NYC, before pivoting into the world of podcasting.
