The Race and Ethnicities Studies certificate will have students explore race and ethnicity that pulls from a variety of disciplines from the historical to the creative. Students will gain a deeper and richer understanding of race and ethnicities through out literature, history, or the philosophical backgrounds of race and ethnicity.
The Race and Ethnicities certificate is a possible to accomplish alongside any major or minor a student is pursuing. No matter a student’s line of study, they can gain knowledge that can enhance their studies. For any questions, please contact jbarst@sienaheights.edu

PHI 230: Philosophy of Race and Gender
SOC 244: Sociological Perspective On Race And Ethnicity
Any 285/485 course as approved by the EGS program coordinator
Any other elective course approved by the EGS program coordinator
