I have been with SHU for 6 years. Prior to teaching at Siena, I worked with the State of Michigan for 5 years within the child welfare system. I have 20 years’ experience that includes not only child welfare, but also medical social work, working with people living with HIV/AIDS, school social work, and trauma-focused/brain resiliency work. I received my Bachelor of Art (in social work) from SHU, and my Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan.
Additionally, I serve on the Michigan Child Welfare Inter-University Consortium, Co-Chair the Michigan Field Directors Consortium, and am the Phi Alpha Advisor for SHU.
My husband, Zac and I, along with our son, Jaxen, our 2 dogs, Zoe, and Casper, and cat, Rider live in Tecumseh, MI.
