Common Dialogue Day 2023: “Alexa: Can A.I. Serve the Common Good?”

This year’s Common Dialogue Day will be Tuesday, November 14, 2023 and we invite you to submit a discussion topic for the breakout sessions (in-person or virtual) around the academic theme of “Alexa: Can A.I. Serve the Common Good?” Pick a topic for yourself or work with a friend, colleague, faculty member, or staff member.

Complete and submit the form to the right by midnight, Friday, October 6, 2023.

General Information to keep in mind for your discussion:

  • Breakout sessions will be held in-person, virtually, and in hybrid formats. We encourage you select “hybrid” if you are able.
  • Breakout sessions are 45 minutes. 15-20 minutes should be the “presentation of topic” followed by dialogue.
  • Strive to end your presentation with open-ended questions to generate discussion.
  • Act as, or assign, a facilitator to keep the discussion moving forward.
  • End the session at by the designated time to facilitate movement to the next session.
