Construction/Affiliate Office/ReStore Work Study Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist Construction Department with the renovation and repairs of homes. This will include, but not be limited to demolition, rehabilitation/renovation and repair projects in Lenawee County.

CONSTRUCTION RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist in renovation and repair program process

2. Assist Repair Specialist in repair projects

AFFILIATE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage miscellaneous projects and completes tasks within deadlines

2. Assist with General Office Functions

RESTORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assist with the processing of incoming donations

2. Assist with general cleaning of the ReStore

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education, Experience and Credentials
Requirements

High School Diploma

Superior people and communication skills

Preferred:

Basic tools experience or knowledge

Non-profit work experience

Familiarity with Habitat for Humanity’s mission and involvement in the community

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong motivational skills; effective interpersonal communication skills; able to adapt to dealing with variety of people and personalities; communicates clearly and effectively both orally and in writing to all levels of people inside and outside the organization.

Makes decisions and solves problems independently and effectively.

Possesses thorough, organized, and detail-oriented approach to work.
